Erin O'Neill - Director of Fine Arts/Curator Erin O'Neill’s degree in Sculpture and Gallery Management in the School of Visual Arts program at University of North Texas. In San Diego Ca. he worked with a master stone carver and on several projects with the Minge Museum of International Folk Art, San Diego, and The La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art. After moving to Pittsburgh in the early 90’s he started working with Artists and presentation, preparation and conservation with Carnegie Museums Of Pittsburgh including the Museum of Art, Carnegie International and the Andy Warhol Museum he was kept on for many special projects including two more Carnegie Internationals and several large traveling exhibitions and installations. He has experience with many other fine art organizations including 10+ years as Exhibitions Co-ordinator in Wood Street Galleries and Space gallery, and managing several outdoor art projects at the intersection of Penn Avenue and Ninth st.; projects of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. Larger special projects with The Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, and the opening of the H.J. Heinz Regional History Center. In 2001 he was Chief artists coordinator of the International Sculpture Conference, which converted the former Pittsburgh stock exchange building into a temporary arts venue. In 2005 stepped in as Production Manager for Echo: System, “Desert” a collaborative project of the Carnegie Mellon University Studio for Creative Inquiry a Grisha Colman creation as a performing arts project in Seattle Wa. Also countless smaller projects with Chatham College art collection, Three Rivers Arts Festival, Patricia Pew Mitchell, Jenera Soloman, Foreland Street Studio, Concept Art Gallery, Urban Space Gallery, Future Tenant Gallery, The African American Cultural Center and his own O’Neill Art Special Projects. |
